ORIGINAL HOT YOGA

How it works

We teach the Original Hot Yoga sequence (Bikram Yoga). It is an intense series of Hatha Yoga postures performed in a hot room. The sequence we teach is suitable for all levels and capabilities, including beginners. Many yogis began their yoga journey with hot yoga.

The benefits

Practiced regularly, this hot yoga can bring many physical and emotional improvements to your body and mind. You might notice improved sleep, more flexibility in your body, stronger muscles, better mood, clearer skin and a general boost to your health and wellbeing.

The heat will improve your fitness as it causes the heart and lungs to work harder. You will stretch further, without injury, as the muscles are warmer and more able to stretch. You will see a progression when you practice hot yoga regularly. We call it your ‘yoga practice’.

The more you put into your yoga practice, the more you will get out of it. You will experience old injuries beginning to fade and increased energy levels. Sports people and those who attend the gym will notice that their muscles become less stiff.

It is best to come to class on an empty stomach. Please hydrate several hours before coming to class or drink more the night before for a morning class. You can bring water for inside the hot room, but little sips are best. Bring a towel for your mat and another for a shower, or you can hire these items at our studio.
